How long can you tread?Drowning is the leading cause of child (ages 1-17) mortality (death) in Cambodia. Over 2,000 Cambodian children die from drowning each year.
Children who drown in Cambodia rarely present at hospitals (only 6.6%) and therefore are not often counted in that country’s official death records.
SWIM (Safety When It Matters) Cambodia is the first significant water safety program in Cambodia, of it's kind. SWIM will teach children water safety education, survival swimming skills, safe rescue techniques, and CPR.
